Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how WaveCut ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use our website at wavecut.net and its audio tools. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.
Audio files you process are never uploaded
Our audio tools — including the Audio Trimmer, Audio Converter, Tempo Changer, Audio Reverser, Volume Booster, Metronome, Pitch Changer, Voice Changer, Audio Merger, and Audio Compressor — run entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. When you open a file in any tool, it is processed locally on your device. Your audio is never sent to, stored on, or accessed by our servers.
Information collected automatically
As with most websites, our hosting provider and analytics tools may automatically record standard technical details when you visit — such as your browser and device type, referring page, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the pages you view. This helps us understand general usage and keep the site running properly.
Contact form
If you choose to use the form on our Contact page, the name, email address, and message you enter are sent to us via Web3Forms, a third-party form delivery service, so that we can reply to you. We use this information only to respond to your message — never for marketing, and never shared with anyone else. Web3Forms processes this data on our behalf and has its own privacy policy governing how it handles submissions in transit. We do not store form submissions in a database of our own; they arrive directly in our inbox.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We and our partners may use cookies to remember preferences, measure traffic, and — where advertising is shown — to deliver and measure ads. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings; doing so will not stop the audio tools from working.
Advertising and third-party vendors
We may display ads served by Google, including through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the UK, ads and cookies may be subject to consent collected through a consent notice, which you can change or withdraw at any time.
Analytics
We may use analytics services such as Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. These services may set their own cookies and collect usage data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we do not require accounts, never receive your audio files, and only collect contact details when you voluntarily submit our contact form, the personal data we hold is limited. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "last updated" date above will reflect the revision.
