Does changing speed also change the pitch?
No. This tool uses the SoundTouch time-stretching engine to change tempo while keeping the pitch exactly the same. Voices, singing, and instruments all sound natural — just faster or slower — with none of the "chipmunk" effect you get from simply changing playback speed.
Can I hear the change while adjusting the slider?
Yes. Press play, then drag the speed slider — the tempo updates live as you move it, so you can dial in exactly the pace you want by ear.
What's it useful for?

Is there a limit to the speed range?
You can go from 0.25× (four times slower) to 3× (three times faster). Quality is best between about 0.5× and 2×; very large changes can introduce mild artefacts, which is normal for any time-stretching tool.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Decoding, time-stretching, and encoding all happen locally in your browser. Your audio never leaves your device.
