About WaveCut
Free, private, browser-based audio tools
WaveCut is a collection of free online audio tools that do all of their work inside your web browser. There's no software to install, no account to create, and no waiting for uploads — you open a page, drop in a file, and get your result in seconds.
Your files never leave your device
Most online audio tools upload your file to a server, process it there, and send it back. WaveCut is built the opposite way. Every tool uses your browser's built-in Web Audio technology, so your audio is read, edited, and exported right on your own computer or phone. Nothing is transmitted to us — which makes the tools both faster and far more private.
What you can do here
WaveCut currently offers eight tools, each focused on doing one job well:
- Audio Trimmer — cut, crop, and trim audio to the exact length you need
- Audio Converter — convert between MP3, WAV, and other common formats
- Tempo Changer — speed up or slow down audio without changing its pitch
- Audio Reverser — play a track backwards
- Volume Booster — increase or normalize an audio file's volume
- Metronome — a precise, studio-grade click track with time signatures and subdivisions
- Pitch Changer — raise or lower pitch while keeping the original tempo
- Voice Changer — apply fun voice effects like chipmunk, robot, and cave reverb to a recording
- Audio Merger — combine and join multiple audio files into one track, with crossfade and fades
- Audio Compressor — reduce audio file size for email, uploads and messaging apps
